Our Founder: Willie Scott
Willie Scott, the former Pastor of a church in Kennesaw, GA, left his comfortable position to pursue the vision God gave him for mission work in Uganda. He embarked on a journey to Africa in 1999. During his time there, he met Oliver Black in 2006, who would later become the mission's director. Under Scott's guidance, the mission experienced significant growth, establishing 15 churches in Uganda by the time Black took over. Today, Providence World Mission continues to flourish, with the number of churches in Uganda having increased to 26.
